Philadelphia Dog Licensing

Did you know that you are required to register your dog with the city of Philadelphia?

All dogs 4 months of age and older must be vaccinated for rabies and licensed annually with the City of Philadelphia. Philadelphia and Pennsylvania law both require the licensing of dogs. The license issued by the City satisfies the requirements of both laws.

As the weather gets warmer it is a good reminder to make sure that your pets are up to date on their preventative flea and tick treatments. This includes your indoor city cats.

The VCA Animal Hospital has put together a great pamphlet on "Flea and Tick Control". They warn that even if you keep your pet completely indoors, fleas and ticks can still be carried inside your home by other pets or on your clothing.
