  Microchipping Event
United Animal Nations (UAN) and the Alliance for Philadelphia's Animals invite you to a low-cost microchip event, where you can purchase potentially lifesaving identification for your pets for only $10 per animal - including registration! UAN's Emergency Animal Rescue Service volunteers will also distribute valuable disaster preparedness information and answer your questions about how to prepare your family and pets for disaster.

Microchips are the size of a piece of rice and are implanted under an animal's skin. They provide permanent identification so animals can be reunited quickly with their caregivers, even when their collars have fallen off. Nothing provides better assurance that you will be reunited with your animal if you are ever separated. When UAN responds to a disaster and provides temporary sheltering services to displaced animals, the microchipped animals are frequently the easiest to reunite with their families.
