Rolling For RAVS
This summer, vet students and PhilaPets clients, Laura Barth and Matt Stock, are biking across the county from Philly to Oregon to raise awareness, supplies, and monetary donations for the Rural Area Veterinary Services (RAVS).

RAVS is a program dedicated to providing free veterinary services to impoverished or disaster-stricken areas in the United States and around the world. RAVS recently played an instrumental role in helping animals affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Communities visited by RAVS lack the means to adequately care for their pets and livestock resulting in poor animal welfare, the spread of infectious disease, and decreased income from food animals. Veterinary volunteers donate their time with RAVS to bring animal health care and knowledge to these communities. The success and continuation of these free veterinary clinics is entirely dependent upon volunteers and donors.

Please see their website for more information about RAVS, Matt and Laura, their route, or to help out. All donations are tax deductible.

Did you know that PhilaPets has a referral program?

We work hard to make sure that your animals are happy, safe, and well cared for when you are away.

If you love our services, tell a friend! Have them mention your name at their orientation visit and your pet's next visit is free!

Pet Health

Keep Your Pet Safe This Summer
Sunscreen, check. Plenty of fresh water, check. Swimming lessons, check. Flea control, check.

Flea control? This list isn't for you or your kids — it's for your pets. See the MSNBC article for tips to help keep your pets safe this summer.

Spring Allergies
I don't know about you, but this year has been terrible for my allergies. There isn't enough Claritin in the world to stop my nose from running and eyes from watering.

Your pets may have allergies, too. Instead of sneezing, pets typically have itchy skin and will scratch, lick, and bite to get relief.

See this Healthy Pet Report for more information and to get your pets some much need relief.
